Ok, so I’ve been reading a book on Chinese medicine lately for
no other reason that I’m interested.

I’ve always had a passion for health, and one of the interesting
metaphors they talk about in this book is that Western Medicine
treats the body like a machine…

Whereas Eastern medicine treats the body like a garden.

And I got to thinking, if marketing was a garden what would it
look like?

And here’s what I came up with…

If you want more fruit (sales), plant more seeds (marketing /

Make sure you prepare the soil first, before laying down the bed
(get your positioning / offer spot on).

Just because your garden is bearing fruit today, it doesn’t mean
it will bear fruit tomorrow (it’s bearing fruit because of seeds
you planted months ago, don’t stop planting or you’ll run dry).

Always water your plants (always nurture and stay in touch with
your database, your network, your clients… or they will wither
and die).

Yes, if you think of marketing as a garden… you really can’t lose!
