Whether it’s on Facebook, Google Adwords, Newspaper ads,
direct mail or any other medium…
It’s one thing to get leads, but a totally different thing to get those
leads to convert into sales.
Sadly, many business owners only focus on getting traffic to their
web site or generating leads.
And forget to focus on where the real money is: the conversion.
For instance, let’s say you sell a product with a $1,000.00 profit
Leads are coming through for $50 a pop.
And you are converting 1 in 25 into a sale.
You’re losing money, right?
For every $1,000.00 you make, it’s costing you $1250.00.
You could try to get the leads for cheaper.
Or you could boost your conversion rate to 1 in 15.
If you could do that, all of a sudden you’re now generating a
$1,000.00 sale for $750.
How about 1 in 10.
Now you’re generating a $1,000.00 sale for $500.00.
And each lead is worth $50 in profit to you.
Once you’ve done that, is there any reason why you can’t
scale it and generate…
100 leads a week ($5,000.00)
200 leads a week (10,000.00)
300 leads a week ($15,000.00)
No reason at all, right?
But you’ve got to get that conversion process spot on first.
I’ve been going through the same process in my business.
I’m getting leads for cheap.
But need to boost the conversion.
One of the things I’ve been doing wrong is not generating
enough instant trust.
Another thing I’ve been doing wrong is kind of doing the
equivalent of hanging out a sign saying “dress shop” and then
trying to sell fishing tackle to whoever walked in.
Prospects walk in and go:
Don’t make the same mistake.
Set up a process to build trust after you generate a lead,
while also ensuring your follow up campaign is directly linked
to the way new prospects entered your funnel.
