There’s so much information out there in the marketplace today.
And the amount is rising rapidly.
So how do you stand out?
How do you get your content noticed above the others?
Let me ask you a question:
Who would you trust about basketball…
An article by me on how to become a world class basketball player?
Or an article by Michael Jordan?
It goes without saying, doesn’t it?
And the reason is…
You will listen to Michael because he is known as the greatest basketball
player of all time.
In fact, even if I wrote a better article than him, you would still ignore mine
Yes, we’re no longer in the information age…
We’re in the reputation age.
So how does this help you?
You need to build a reputation by offering QUALITY content.
Make it the BEST.
Make it powerful.
And get a following.
For instance, if I want to learn about health… I turn to Dr. Joseph Mercola.
If I want to learn about Google Adwords, I turn to Perry Marshall, Mike Rhodes
or James Yuille.
If I want to learn about Facebook ads, I’ll turn to Molly Pittman or Keith Krance.
Because they have a reputation for knowing their stuff.
So the message is, if you want to cut through with your content in 2018…
A. Know your stuff.
B. Share what you know in a compelling way.
C. Think about how you can use social proof to build your reputation
And C is a good shortcut. Can you speak on someone’s stage, or get endorsed
by another expert?
Just remember this…
You can’t get away with crap, link-farming content.
You’ve got to do the work.
People wouldn’t read John Grisham and Stephen King if they created sub-par
And they won’t trust your content if you serve up nonsense.
